Article of the RECICLOS Research Group with the participation of a member of the SICon Group is published in the IBRACON Structures and Materials Journal.
The article entitled: “Eco-efficient steel slag concretes: an alternative to achieve circular economy” was published in volume 15 of the IBRACON Structures and Materials Journal, 2022.
The authors of the article are: Laís Cristina Barbosa Costa, Marcela Aguiar Nogueira, Larissa Caroline Ferreira, Fernanda Pereira da Fonseca Elói, José Maria Franco de Carvalho and Ricardo André Fiorotti Peixoto.The group is composed of researchers from the educational institutions Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP) and Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV).
This research provides the feasibility of using steel slag aggregates in a cleaner and cheaper concrete production and contributes to the promotion of sustainable solutions for the construction sector through the circular economy principles.
