Paper of the RECICLOS Research Group with the collaboration of SICon group members is published in the “American Concrete Institute Materials Journal”.
The article is entitled: “Study on Assessment of Pozzolanic Activity: Slate Cutting Waste” and is part of volume 117 of the 2020 issue of the “American Concrete Institute Materials Journal”.
The authors of the paper are: Sâmyla C. L. Lima, Lais C. B. Costa, Keoma C. S. Defáveri, José M. F. de Carvalho, Ricardo A. F.Peixoto and Guilherme J. Brigolini Silva. The group is composed of researchers from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), Federal University of Lavras (UFLA) and Federal University of Viçosa (UFV),
This research aimed to study the pozzolanic potential of the residue generated in slate cutting, as well as to compare the current standard methods applied to verify the pozzolanic activity (strength activity index) and direct methods based on calcium hydroxide consumption.
